22 years ago, the man who ruled 22 yards scored his first ODI century.

Sachin Tendulkar enthralled Cricket lovers by scoring 100 international centuries, including 49 ODI centuries. His first ODI ton though, took a long time coming.

On  9th Sept. 1994, after playing 78 ODIs, Sachin finally scored a century in his 79th one day. He made 110 off 130 balls against Australia at Colombo.


He clobbered Craig McDermott for a scintillating six and handled Glen McGrath and Shane Warne with ease as India defeated Australia by 31 runs.

78 Matches, 2126 Runs, 17 50s

After his first ODI Hundred, he scored a further
385 Matches, 16300 Runs, 49 100s, 79 50s
